If you want to control your 1080p monitor and you already have a free USB 3.0 port on your computer, look no further. There's a slight lag, but it's not noticeable unless you're looking very closely and/or playing games and/or watching videos. It would be nice if the cable connected to this adapter could be a little longer and the adapter itself could be a little smaller. Obtain the driver directly from the DisplayLink website and not the Wavlink website to ensure they are properly signed by the correct party and are not malware. Do not buy this driver if you plan to connect a 1440p (2k) monitor as the delay will be very noticeable. I recommend switching to the 4k variant of this adapter if you want to drive a 1440p monitor.
