My laptop's display port recently failed and I needed a quick and easy way to get an output. This adapter fits. It works for me through a USB-C 3.0 hub and works flawlessly. If you want to control your 1080p monitor and you already have a free USB 3.0 port on your computer, look no further. There's a slight lag, but it's not noticeable unless you're looking very closely and/or playing games and/or watching videos.
