My laptop's display port recently failed and I needed a quick and easy way to get an output. This adapter fits. It works for me through a USB-C 3.0 hub and works flawlessly. Just had to download the drivers from the url provided in the manual and plug in the adapter. Then Windows 10 simply shows the secondary display. Frame rate can vary slightly, but it's fine for office use and weird Youtube videos. I was a bit concerned about the performance, but as far as I can tell video rendering still happens on the computer's GPU. The video data is then transferred to the adapter via a USB cable. All in all, this is a great and inexpensive option for adding a display to your PC. This saved me from buying a brand new laptop!
