I finally bought my first time-lapse camera and I have to say it's a really good option for hobby projects. The clip and monopod are very durable and easy to use, they can be attached to almost anything. You also get an adjustable phone clip, which is handy for using with your phone. 5 stars for the included clip, monopod and handy carry case. The camera itself is portable enough to take anywhere. The lens has an aperture of F2.0 but this can be changed with another lens offered by Brinno. So far I've only used the lens that came with it. I mainly use it for time lapse videos on the beach and from my room overlooking the beautiful Diamond Head Crater (sunrise and sunset) here in Hawaii, but other modes like step by step video, photo and time lapse are also very suitable useful. . The reviewer mentioned that refillable batteries would be handy, but the regular alkaline batteries seem to last a very long time so this shouldn't be a problem for most users. I've tried powering on and recording the camera with a USB-C to USB to AC adapter cable when using it indoors to save battery. At the moment my wife has her camera set up to take a picture of one of her flowers, which will take some time but we're curious to see how it turns out. We also like to shoot in schedule mode at the time you want to record the time without manually recording and stopping. The menus/settings take a little getting used to, but you will find your way around quickly. You shoot something and the video file is already ready on the memory card. All in all a great little device for a beginner like me and my wife loves it too! Win, win.
