I bought 2 of these units for my 2 Buicks. One has been running in my commuter car for almost 8 months (within 30 miles) with no problems. The other has been in the one we use for travel, shopping, meetings and everything else for a couple of months with no problems. The one I've had for a while replaced an old sensor that wasn't working. work and ended up with the torque converter misbehaving and wrecking my transmission. The gearbox costs a lot more than this part. I had a mechanic fix the transmission and he told me about the sensor. I started the car without changing the sensor a bit and some residual bumps came back from the faulty sensor. I ordered this and it was good. For now, all I need is tires (which is why this is a short-distance car). They are very easy to install (unplug and unplug the old one, mount and plug in the new one and you're done). Disclaimer: I'm not an auto mechanic, I just have enough resources and tools to get in and out of most problems I encounter. Professionally, I deal with other mechanical systems. I trust the opinion of my "translator". I also understand that some more experienced people may dispute the correctness of the sensor/transformer/transmitter circuit described above. This seems like a reasonable explanation to me, so I'm passing it on as it's been given to me. It appears that the sensor fixed the issues that started appearing some time after it was fixed, but that may have been a coincidence.
