Valve Index to Laptop

I got this for a reason. I have a Valve Index and my laptop had a Mini so I couldn't connect my Index. With this thing it was solved without problems. I plugged in the Index, connected to 3.0 and was able to use VR on my Asus Chimera 1070. Has worked flawlessly. I think other reviewers got it for the same reason and some may have had issues. Not me. This can be random and laptop and/or machine related.
