Bought this for my 4.5 year old who is 39 pounds and 43 inches tall. Size 4 (not 4T) fits him perfectly. It has 4 pockets perfect for collecting shells on the beach plus a small 5th mesh pocket in the waistband. , Good soft fabric, good workmanship, no worse than other leading brands like the swim trunks I own. The drawstring goes all the way around the waist so it's not just for show like some other toddler shorts I've bought, it actually does the job when needed. Great shorts and they get the picky 4 year old's approval.
