Thank you for reading my review! My first impression of them when I saw them online was positive as they seemed to resemble the shoes of my day before sneakers became too elaborate in their design. I think I would use the word "retro" and I say that in a positive way. Unpacking only reinforced my initial reaction and I knew something special was waiting for me. Of course I'm not old, but these shoes have a certain nostalgia. And hey, if you don't care about the nostalgic value and only like cool retro design, more power for you! I appreciate that they can appeal to different people at the same time and would love to see more products come out. A little background: These shoes are part of the Reebok Human Rights Now! a collection with red/green accents on the left/right sole, an inspirational message on the inside and on the heel and a tribute to the benefit concerts held in defense of human rights in 1988. The tour was made possible in part by funding from Reebok. Mission accomplished, but all the details aside, if I had to pick one thing I love most about this shoe, I would say it's the stitching. White stitching on black has never been uglier than on these shoes! It's just cool! The fit is very comfortable and the materials flex slightly with every step. I've worn them with pants and jeans every day since I got them. No matter which look you choose, they adapt very well to your outfit. Conclusion: It's great to see such a shoe giant remaining interested in such a global cause. But even if you don't take it to heart, I doubt you'll regret taking it. Reebok has unveiled an updated icon that's drawing attention, and I'm speaking from personal experience. This is my choice and I couldn't be happier. :)
