I am 5 feet 2 inches tall and weigh in the neighborhood of 140 pounds. The dress is constructed nicely; however, for modesty sake alone it is too short for an occasion when you might be sitting like in a church pew. It is fine for standing or if you are seated at a table with a table cloth. I bought mine for church and have to make sure that I have something on my lap to not embarrass myself. As the pictures show, there are intentionally sheer fabric strips at the sleeves and bottom of the dress. I knew that, but I didn't factor in the sit down hike-up effect.
