My feet sweat in normal socks. When they sweat, my feet get freezing. I stumbled across the Travelon Compression Socks, tried them on and found that they reduce sweat and cold quite well and I was even able to wear them 5 days in a row without washing because they don't smell! So I was sold on compression stockings for that reason alone. (my review of some other brands below). Unfortunately the Travelon is only available in very matt colors and the material is "slippery" in the shoe. After seeing Newzill's Pink and the good reviews, I ordered a pair to try on. They are FEET DOWN, my new favorite. Here's why: Sweat: You won't get wet. My driest feet were in a sock - ie wonderfully DRY! I can wear them for many days in a row without worrying about the smell. FIT: These are the lightest of the 4 brands of compression stockings I've tried. I think the seams and the way they are made make them easier to put on. I wear a size 11 women's shoe and ordered a medium size which fits perfectly, is snug and has no 'extra' fabric that doesn't rub anywhere. The seams also provide resistance in my shoe which prevents your foot from slipping, unlike Travelon which is a more slippery and thinner material. NEWZILL are cuddly and mostly resemble traditional socks. (Now I've donated all my old socks) WASHING: I've been waiting to write this review to make sure they don't shrink - they don't. Washed and tumble dried - both on constant press. The sock was put on and taken off like out of the box. WILL I ORDER ANOTHER: Already have and waiting for new colors to come out - and will be ordering a few more pairs. I really only need 2 pairs for a whole week but I love to wear some fun colors every now and then. SIZING: MAKE SURE you measure your calf as I did and this is what prompted me to choose a medium size over a large. I would highly recommend these over the Travelon (my favorite but they can be slippery due to the fabric and they are thinner so won't keep your foot warm but would be good on a hot day), Dr. Scholls (quite good but a bit wet and difficult to put on), Dr. Motion marks (they were awful, wet wet wet but with some compression). Form and leave feedback only if the product surprises me. NEWZILL did just that.
