Good fountain pen

Appearance of good quality. There is a window on the cap that opens to the nib; nice gesture. It has a plastic clip with a small spring. The cap snaps onto a lip on the barrel below the feeder. Ink is drawn into the dispenser by capillary action and gravity, then slides off the iridium tip onto the paper. Because of the way the pen is designed, it allows for a slight bend that allows more or less ink to flow through the advance and can give the user control over the fineness of the line. It's great for calligraphy and art. The cylinder unscrews at a central point where the metal strip protects the threads and acts as a stop to prevent damage to the plastic threads from over-tightening. Inside is an international standard ink cartridge that can be replaced when the supply runs out. Here's the catch: you want to replace it with high-quality ink because that's *all* in a fountain pen. It must be water-based and colored with a dye (because the pigment particles will clog the feed). The area under the band on the trunk is quite long and tapered. The entire length of the run is out of bounds. Easy to get used to, nice to control and comfortable. The aforementioned tab works very well as a finger grip, making parts easier to work with and preventing them from slipping. All in all, this is a good economical fountain pen.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • So far so good
