Received 3000K bulbs to replace Sylvania halogen bulbs (39 watt 2900K) which were starting to burn out in the kitchen ceiling light cluster. These lamps came closest to halogens in terms of color temperature and beamwidth. The color is a bit white but we like it. If you mix this with the 2900K lightbulbs in your ceiling, you'll likely notice a difference. They look great when lit but have more light concentrated in the center unlike halogens which are more even. However, there is no difference in beam width or appearance. Their size is almost identical to halogens in length and width. These are PAR30L which are longer than traditional PAR30. They are about 4.25 inches long and fit my ceiling glasses with little room for airflow around the lamp. They dim, but as I've found with most LEDs, the dimming isn't as smooth or dimmable as the halogens. They darken well enough to be acceptable to me. At 12 watts per bulb, I use 162 watts less when all six bulbs are on. These lamps now cost only half as much as branded halogen lamps and save money right away. I am very happy with these lights. If their lifespan is as promised, there is no reason to stick with a halogen bulb.
