I've heard people say it stutters or doesn't work properly, but I'm fine. I don't really understand how anyone had trouble with this, but I will say that you need to stack the parts properly and hold the spring arm properly for it to grip properly. At first I wasn't sure if I liked it, then I learned to use it and now I'm happy. I applied a tiny drop of 3-in-1 oil where I felt it needed because the spring action made it feel sticky and tingly on the inside. It flows well now and the spring is tight and locks things in place.
