Review on BENTON Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel: Ultimate Skincare Solution in 100ml by Susan Zhao

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for oily, acne-prone skin!

I've always avoided moisturizers because I got cystic acne and blackheads every time I tried them. While self-isolating I decided to try to improve my skin as I didn't actually go out in public. I've tried a highly rated non-comedogenic moisturizer and bam - cystic acne everywhere. Then I had an idea. I sometimes get sunburnt on my nose and forehead and apply aloe vera gel to soothe them. It never tempted me, so I wondered if aloe vera could be used as a moisturizer. I found that it's not very effective for this purpose, so I thought I might find one that uses aloe as the main ingredient. Lo and behold, I found this. I had never heard of this company and there weren't many reviews so I was a little nervous about trying it out, especially since my skin was in a terrible state. But it wasn't too expensive so I thought why not? I've only been using it for a week so I'll update if anything changes, but for now I'm on cloud nine! It's definitely not something to use alone if you have dry skin, but it's perfect for my oily but dehydrated skin. My texture is improving, acne is healing and I have a good shine throughout the day. It didn't clog my pores one bit. If everything else throws you off course, give it a try! You really need to read the directions to smack yourself in the face. If you apply it just as a lotion, it leaves a sticky residue and is virtually non-absorbent. I haven't tried it under makeup yet, so I hope everything is ok in that regard. I've noticed that there is actually a slight pore blurring effect, so I'm hoping this allows me to skip the primer.
