I really wanted to like this product. After seeing it before Christmas I decided to buy it for my nephews as a fun indoor game and also to help them develop hand-eye coordination. As kids we had a similar toy that lasted for years. Put simply, it doesn't work very well. The spring mechanism for firing the balls is not strong enough. In fact, you need momentum with your hand to cover a distance greater than 6 feet, which is far from ideal. Also, the devices themselves are not large enough to make ball catching easy enough for children who would be small enough to appreciate the short throw distance the devices offer. The setting of the cafe is squispier than I expected, so it's surprising it doesn't "grip" better. It's not worth the $10 I paid for it, and that's saying something.
