I actually still have a 1000w inverter but after receiving it I realized that it was too big for the solar array in my homemade RV. I mean think about it. Even ignoring the "peak" or "jump" ratings, 1000 watts at 12 volts is about 85 amps of current. It requires quite a bit of wiring, and batteries to provide that much power for any length of time, plus solar panels to charge those large batteries, would be too big and expensive to fit into what I'm doing. . Most of the time these batteries never really stretched their legs and eventually died of old age without being of much use to me. It is not worth. If I suspect I need such power for some particular reason, I take a gas generator with me.
