I was a little hesitant to buy this lamp because the reviews weren't very favorable, but I'm glad I did. The manufacturer must have read the previous reviews and made significant improvements which include an illustrated (even in colour) full 4 page lamp fitting guide. So the installation of the lamp is now very easy. The packaging must also have been improved, mine was double boxed with all parts in a foam case = no bent parts or chipped paint; Even the bees are pre-installed in the counterweight. Ceiling mounts still had an issue with the box being smaller than the US standard box and had to solve the problem of holding it when the base was connected to the electrical ceiling box. This was solved by installing a lamp and counterweight on a stool that was placed on my kitchen island. The installed fixture looks good, I like the industrial/farmhouse style. As the shades supplied are fairly flat the bulbs glowed more than I wanted so I replaced the flat disc shades with cup shaped shades and was able to increase the brightness of the lamp without glare. I changed the #beebe's to balance the lamp. Now the quality of light and the appearance of the lamp is at the highest level.
