Review on Enhanced Black Locking Hood Catch Kit 🔒 – Ideal for 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL 2-Door by Mark Taylor

Purchased Rampage Products 76337 Black Hood Latch Kit for 2018 Jeep Wrangler Jl (Pair) for my 2020 Wrangler Rubicon JL Very easy to install. Better done than the cheap Chinese version. Watch the video on YouTube. The locking mechanism on the cheaper version breaks with a good bare-hand pull. I didn't need an extension and didn't have to remove the front grille. My 2020 has very cheap screws. I used a 2 bolt open end wrench (one on each side) for the bottom bolts and a socket wrench for 4 bolts (2 on each side). Be careful not to overlap the washers under the hood before pushing down. It must have taken 30 minutes. Remove factor hood latches, wipe off underlying dust/dirt and install new metal latches. Good upgrade. The black color is more matte than glossy. Doesn't stand out any more than it should.
