Review on GE 24746 Futura Ready Antenna by Andrew Grimes

I have an HD TV and thought I could use this indoor antenna to get more local HD channels instead of hooking up another HD cable (and monthly having to pay fees) box. It didn't work out the way I wanted. After reading an ad in a B&M store I thought it was cheap enough to try. Unfortunately he only brought 3 channels with him. These channels were local public broadcasters, which is what I wanted, but nothing else was received. Weak signal messages flashed across my screen for all other channels. I live in the New York area so I thought there would be more channels available but that's not the case. I have moved the two antennas stretching in all directions no longer brings success. I've placed the block myself in different places with the same result. Maybe it works better in conjunction with an outside antenna? I'm not willing to try this and get it back.
