Installation takes time and patience, but it's worth it!

I ordered this after watching a few YouTube videos to get an idea of the complexity of the installation. I thought it was worth it. I used the included double sided tape to line everything up as accurately as possible. Before you start sewing, make sure you line up the sheathing properly with the three needles, then tuck everything in. It will take some effort to get the material under the plastic, so call someone with arm strength. to help if you are not comfortable with it. Once everything is stowed away, the rest is pretty easy. Check out the YouTube video for examples, but basically you're just going back and forth, skipping a cycle each time. I knitted each stitch into the "nooks and crannies" of the wheel to make it a little tighter. One top piece of advice I have for sewing: you can do all the stitches, but don't tie off the end at once. Instead, leaving the end loose, start back and forth and pull the thread up, similar to tying a shoelace. Keep pulling on the excess slack (I used the plastic tool that came with it) while simultaneously pinching the skin with your other hand. Again, YouTube is your friend, but hopefully that makes sense. I've seen someone mention a chemical smell and I'd say that while it does have an odor, it's actually quite pleasant. Smells like dyed leather. Almost new car smell, like a BMW with leather seats. Overall I'm very happy with how it came out, it almost looks like it came out of the factory.
