Review on πŸ–‹οΈ Versatile Hand Lettering Pens Set: 8 Size Black Markers for Artists, Calligraphy, Sketching, and more! by Doris Tran

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Probably good for studying.

Good. I can't give them a 4 as one of the pins arrived broken. I was also hoping for a more opaque finish from these pigment pencils. I only test on cheap paper, maybe the best paper doesn't absorb the ink as much. One of the 8 pins was defective. The 1m tip was dry. I've tried shaking it and turning it upside down, but no improvement. Then I tried to shake it vigorously and the ink spurted out of the barrel near the tip. Luckily it only made it onto the cover of one book I was working on. I'd be a lot more disappointed if it ended up on furniture or clothing. They weren't very expensive, but it would be nice to get a full working set. I'm sure I'll use the rest of the pens. I'm just learning how to write letters and it will be great to practice with. The ink seems to have stayed in place after drying. I tried using old colored markers to see if they activated and moved the ink. You are not. I'm going to try my tombows now, knowing that the ink probably won't contaminate the tips. The 3m chisel tip wasn't very smooth, but the rest of the pens that work seem to ink fairly smoothly. The photo samples in the ink sales information are listed as fully opaque, but you can see in my samples that this is not the case. I refer to the old adage "You get what you pay for" with this product.
