The only way to travel in Ireland

We installed this in a Garmin Nuvi 1250 and took it to Ireland. Before leaving, I set a few favorites by entering the coordinates of places we've stayed or visited. I also changed the settings to use UK maps instead of our usual North American maps. The only problem was on day 1 in Dublin right after picking up the rental car. This was the first time it was recorded in Ireland. The device showed our location in Dublin but then continued to guide us in a small circle around Dublin and announced our arrival at our destination in 5 minutes, even though the destination was programmed in County Kerry over 100km away. We stopped, turned off the electricity. unit and vice versa. everything is better. He directed us to Kerry with no problem to arrive in a few hours. We used the cards in towns and communities for two weeks without any problems. We didn't use it to find hotels or restaurants but the directions to places were fine. Although the markings on Irish roads improve every year, the problem with using a paper map is that road names change frequently and many of the smaller roads are simply unmarked. Garmin will get you there with no hassle. It's a lot better than paying for a device with a rental car, and has the added benefit of allowing you to set up a few routes in advance.
