I was going to use it for a few months before leaving a review so I was confident in how I felt. When I first got it I didn't like it. The strap is short and too tight for me. I was in a hurry the first time I tried to use it so thought I'd give it a few more tries to see if I could position my dog better in it. I tried again and felt better. My dog is probably the biggest one you want to take with you. He is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and weighs 20 pounds. If your dog is larger, this probably won't work for you. The first day I tried it, it was also very cold. I was wearing a heavy sweatshirt and a large winter coat. I felt really tight around my neck. I have since worn it with or without a thinner layer and it feels much more comfortable. If you carry a lot of bulky clothing, have a dog over 20 pounds, or are a tall person, this probably won't work for you. It's a very durable material and I'm absolutely not afraid of it falling apart while my dog is wearing it. I just wish the strap was a little longer.
