This $13 part was exactly the same as the OEM and luckily I replaced it first. I don't need a lock drive. It looked hard to get to, but I pulled the plug out, used a small flathead screwdriver to pry it out from the outside, pushed the gourmet waterproof shaft from the inside, and the grommet and plug were small enough to pull through the switch hole and thread back through the hole. out and jack back in, plugged in and it worked. The hardest part was removing most of the interior trim from the trunk lid. You will need a large flat trim or pry tool to do this, as well as a small tool to push in the plastic rivets around the rim and then push them out (uses a curved dental tool). fig) and remember to push the pin out before putting it back in.
