Review on MÜHLE Grande R89 Double Edge Safety Razor: The Ultimate Barbershop-Quality Razor for a Close, Smooth Shave Every Day! by Joni Juenke

Good affordable soft safety razor. I have a Feather AS-D2 and I really like it and it's softer than the Muhle R89 (which I bought for a street razor). Both give almost the same shave, but the grinder is more aggressive, scratches the face more and isn't as well made of the tool (as one might expect given the price difference!). However, the Muhle R89 is noticeably softer than other DE razors I've tried. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive, relatively soft DE razor that delivers a close shave. If you don't mind paying at least $100 more then go for the Feather, but otherwise you can be pretty happy with the Muhle R89 if you want a close and close shave.
