Review on ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Shure SM48-LC Vocal Microphone: Dynamic Sound Quality with Shock-Mounted Cartridge, Pop Filter, Mic Clip, and Storage Bag by Adam Jacobs

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This works for any voice application. Experience may vary. And don't forget the windshields.

Great value version of the SM 58 Ideal for speech and speech and home studio projects and suitable for disc jockeys on a budget I think this will make a great addition to my JUST ONE mic collection. For best results, you will need a windscreen with this mic, which eliminates annoying "P-pops" and provides an overall smoother sound. UPDATE February 22nd 2018 that was 1985 for me, just 19 years after the SM58 was first launched, it's been around for over 33 years, just like its older siblings the 58 and 57, and with good reason for their longevity. In the meantime, after comparing the A/B microphones Sm48 and 58, I have come to the conclusion that while there are similarities, there are also differences (to refer to the title of the Beatles album), so I would call the SM 48 "SM 58 Naked" , without internal features of the above microphone and therefore has a rawer sound and, as I have already mentioned, can serve as a very worthy studio microphone for many purposes.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
