Review on Bathroom Faucet Widespread Double Antique by Rick Ross

Don't buy if you will be using a shank!

I bought two of these for my recent bathtub renovation to update my double vanity with a new countertop. The taps are good and so far make a well-made impression. However, I have concerns after only having problems with both thighs. I really liked these faucets and also wanted retractable tips so I was happy to pay $60 for a set. If it's basically a disposable item, get to know the shaft. On the first shaft you can see that the finish is coming loose in my hand. The lock nut has a micro crack on the side and can be swung up and down on the threads. There is no way to achieve a tight fit. In the second set, the white rubber washers don't work, they are made of soft rubber that is too flexible to fit snugly in the bottom of the sink. I replaced it with a heavy black rubber washer found in old sinks. That fixed the leak. The only problem is that the shaft is in two parts and has three rows of tiny threads connecting the two parts. This section is constantly leaking as you can see in the other photo. If you pull hard enough on the shaft, it will just come loose. I'm stuck in this place. I thought the problem was just the rubber seals. I no longer carry boxes and my closet has been wet for two weeks. I think I'll buy a quality shaft and throw both of these pop up versions with a spray on the finish.
