This cream contains phenoxyethanol which is classified as toxic and brings 4/10 studies confirming its allergenicity, irritancy, neurotoxicity and immunotoxicity. The French ANSM recommends reducing it to 0.4% in products for children under 3 years and banning it in diaper products. Phenol is an immunosuppressant (lowers the immune response) as shown in this 2012 study.
