Fits great and still lets him speak reasonably understandable!
My son's expander would not allow the regular mouthguard to fit properly in his mouth as the expander was interfering with his bite and pressing/biting the expander into the mouthpiece to shape it did not work. This mouthguard doesn't interfere with his expander, but is still small enough that he can speak to it intelligibly. I would recommend this mouthpiece to anyone wearing a retractor. I'm assuming it will work with braces as well, but he doesn't have any so I can't say for sure. my son is 9
