Overall, I wasn't too happy with this product. It didn't open well initially and I had to bend the lid to open it and it got stuck. I don't think it's stainless steel, it looks more like aluminum to me than stainless steel. It's very easy to scratch it with your fingernail just by lifting the lid. I took it out of the box for 5 minutes to see if it suited our needs before repacking it. The reviews asked me to rate it for its lightness, but it's too light in my opinion. I would have liked the light weight so it stays in place when there isn't much in it and when the lid needs to be lifted. It costs more than $10 instead of more than $40! I will return this item.
