Review on ๐Ÿ”— Pro Gold Products ProLink Chain Lube, Black, 32 oz: Top-notch Lubrication for Superior Chain Performance by Jerry Olson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Today's Best Chain Lube

Prolink is a wet, liquid lube but with special compounds for attaching to metal. Despite being wet, it attracts surprisingly little dirt from the road. And the very, very good thing is that every time you lube the chain it gets cleaned again - you really never have to remove the chain until it's out of service or stretched. One important note: Use Prolink the night before (or I would say at least six (6) hours before your intended ride or you may spin the rear wheel a bit. The amount of time should allow for the volatile compounds to evaporate using my method Lubrication: Put newspaper between the rear wheel, chain and derailleur, then lubricate by spraying on Prolink while pedaling backwards, keep spinning and place a crumpled paper towel on the chain next to the derailleur cage and watch how the whole dirty shit loosens Excess Prolink I usually do this twice and you're done Your Prolink chain doesn't have the long-term buildup of deposits that dry lube does, and it never lubricates as well as wet lube anyway.
