Two pumps are commonly used for Evo upgrades: Eheim CompactON 1000 and SICCE Syncra Silent 1.0. Both are known for their reliability and durability. Eheim won the award. This is the perfect upgrade as it was an easy swap. No fixtures are required. Loud but not critical if you put a suction cup on the pump. Due to the increase in flow, I had to move the heater to the first chamber. I also added Vivid Creative Aquatics 1/4" Random Flow Generators to the default drains. Both of these changes really transformed the flow in the aquarium.
