I've had my last Sonicare for 7 years and it worked fine. After that, only moldy stains remain on tiny hidden rubber spots for a long time. After years of alcohol and peroxide treatment, it was permanent. It's time for a new Sonicare, and it's even better. I don't like the fact that the case doesn't close and I wish I could charge it in the case, but it's not worth the extra money. Money wasn't an issue, I just felt the charging case was worth another $100. It was good value for money. Took it on vacation for a few weeks and didn't even need a charge anywhere near.
