Perhaps my expectations were a bit too high. It was a pleasant surprise, it has a rechargeable USB, traveling on batteries is a pain. I bought a hidden camera to check it out. A hidden camera cannot just show up. To get the reflection you have within 15 degrees. The red lens helps you see through the tint that many cameras have. So I would definitely do some research on identifying bottlenecks/high traffic areas to identify possible locations. If you want to quiet your mind when looking at a specific topic that would be great, but don't expect to be able to take in an entire room at a glance. Looking through the lens I couldn't use both eyes, it's about the size of a credit card. In general I am satisfied with the purchase. My 4 star rating reflects a product that does what it says it can identify cameras.
