My first impression was "It's huge" (note my photo of this item compared to a standard 8 1/2 x 11 sheet). Because of the size, it looks a bit bulky. The battery pack in the middle of the neck is hard plastic (as is the whole pack). I would like them to add a pillow as the neck can be uncomfortable when lying on the pillow. Controlling two lights takes some getting used to. You hold the bar between your fingers and thumb, and then slide your fingers and thumb along the bar. The speed of your glide and the time you keep your fingers on the shaft changes the light from white to cool to warm and bright to dim. It sounds confusing, but once you play with it, you'll get the hang of it. Dimmable makes this light perfect for reading at night without overwhelming your night vision. You can turn off each side individually, so turn on only one light source for even brighter illumination. I'm giving 4 stars because it works exactly as advertised and is a comfortable lighting system for the price. It's just more than I thought.
