I'm not a professional mechanic but I can do everything better than average with my own hands. I've rebuilt a few engines, rebuilt axles, basically anything mechanical I'm not afraid of. So I was looking for a good scanner to do advanced diagnostics on my wife's Suburban. After watching Eric Oh use his car scanner, I decided to give it a try. I was very impressed. Pair this scanner with an All Data DIY subscription and I fixed my rear air conditioner not blowing in a few hours. I probably saved half the tooling cost on that one job and now I have it. So far it does everything this DIYer needs. So far I've used it on Chevy and Jeep products.
