As a child, my parents had a friend/neighbor who was an avid seamstress. She never stuck with pins β she used tuna cans to hold her designs together. I've been sewing since I was 16 (with a 40 year gap in my career) and have ONLY used pins. Now I'm retired and back to sewing. After scouring the internet for new and improved options, I found them and thought of my parents' sewing friend. THAT'S GREAT! I like them because they have a good weight and feel and slide much easier than a can of tuna. (Another option was bean bag weights, but they don't slide that easily.
