Perfect addition to my sewing kit

These weights are a game-changer! Through trial and error, I found that these poster weights are ultra-helpful in keeping my fabrics in place while sewing. They're lightweight yet sturdy and easy to use. One downside is that they are a bit expensive but the quality makes it worth it.

Pros
  • Lightweight, easy to use, sturdy
Cons
  • Expensive

Great substitute for canned tuna!

As a child, my parents had a friend/neighbor who was an avid seamstress. She never stuck with pins β€” she used tuna cans to hold her designs together. I've been sewing since I was 16 (with a 40 year gap in my career) and have ONLY used pins. Now I'm retired and back to sewing. After scouring the internet for new and improved options, I found them and thought of my parents' sewing friend. THAT'S GREAT! I like them because they have a good weight and feel and slide much easier than a can of tuna…

Pros
  • Ultra smooth so the scale glides without wrinkles
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Sewing required

For many years I've used anything handy to hold patterns and fabrics (phone, mug, roll of tape, pliers) and it didn't always help, especially when I needed something to hold. First I used them the day I got them. I had to work on a smaller table than usual and the pieces of the pattern were sliding around and driving me insane. They are very useful for height and weight. I took 8 sets to make sure I have enough on hand when moving patterns/fabrics. Gently stroke the fabric to adjust the design…
