If I had more time or more knowledge of what I'm looking for, I think I could find a clone of this device for almost half the price. However, this purchase was worth it. This tool can do more than just read/report your car's fault codes, but it's still very easy to use. I had no problems with it and it worked right away. He also had a decent amount of memory! I was able to record how my car behaves in different scenarios and save this information for later comparison. Access to a Windows computer is required to update the tool. I just updated mine. The same applies to printing or moving this data from your device to your computer. I think that's pretty standard for this type of device. If you're not familiar with computers and don't care about this functionality, you can just ignore it. The device and all of its diagnostic functions worked perfectly right out of the box.
