I tried making my own shoes after paying a guy $40 a few years ago (they're still good) but store bought glue doesn't seem to work. I even tried the E6000. Thanks to this self-adhesive sole material there is no mess, it is easy to put on and I had no problems lifting the sides. Considering the time I've spent trying out my own adhesive solutions and all the cleaning work required. This is a MUCH better option! If you take the time and carefully cut out the cut out (a little bit past the edge of the sole on the shoe) you will be very satisfied and it's definitely cheaper than a $100 dance shoe. I went to Dillards and bought a pair of Sperry deck boots which sold for less than $20, spent about an hour cutting both sides, gluing them on and done! I left them overnight after walking around in them in case glue was needed. "cured." Went dancing the next night and they were great! They are tailored to size so they were good. You'll probably need to get two of these. I have 11 men and they barely fit the length of the material. I wish they had the gray material if you want white or light colored suede shoes.
