This part has only 8 months stopped working before it stopped working I installed it on my wife's 2012 VW Passat and it started having problems after about 6 months and then stopped working completely last week. I bought the original part from the dealer for almost $300. I should have done it first time instead of trying to save money. Now I've spent a lot of money and time doing it 2 times.
