
I never drank coffee, especially since I only had to drink hot coffee. I discovered cold brew protein coffee with MCT oil, so now I make my own for energy when I need it. The Penguin coffee maker is my number one choice for making cold coffee. I'm glad I chose it as IT. IS. SO. SIMPLE and incredibly effective. The micro-filter almost perfectly holds all the coffee grounds, so only very fine coffee dust gets through, which can be shaken into the mixture. You'll drink the dust without warning, except perhaps for a slightly more intense flavor when you're at the bottom of the brew. The brewing process is very good if you know what not to do (e.g. stupid overfilling, which causes a mess when removing the filter). Second time batch so I love how effective this item is and how easy it is to clean. It squeezes all the goodness out of your coffee beans. I'm still not a coffee junkie, but I'm a fan of the slow-burn, sustained energy I get from coffee with MCT protein, so I drink occasionally now (about 20 ounces two days a week is my average) . This thing allows me to literally have coffee for a few months as I only drink it when I feel like my energy levels are unstable on any given day and it calms and soothes me. Given a 33-year track record that doesn't give a damn about coffee. Device A+.
