Works on Jeep WJ 2004 Limited. ADVICE

People write that this system does not work. Actually I was tired of getting it to work over 30 times with the same jeep. BUT here is the key. Sorry for the pun. Reprogramming assumes you have a working radio receiver in the jeep. Unless you've lost or broken your old one, you're like most. The key fob only works a few times and seems to be getting worse and worse. We also assumed that you cleaned the contacts or changed the battery. If yes, you have a big problem. It's likely your RKE system has blown a transistor and can't boost the single, so you'll need to be close to the door before it will work. Program the key fob. However, you need to lower the passenger window and the program is on the passenger side (outside). So as soon as you turn on the ignition and plug the device into the port, you'll want to go through the passenger side (outside) and even hold the key with the door handle halfway between the mirror and the door handle. Here is the recipient. Press the lock/unlock button and count to three or you will hear a beep. Now release and hold the unlock button. Count to 2 or hear a beep. And you did. Now for RKE. You need to remove the door panel. Remove the module with the button to lock and lower the windows. If a cord is hanging from a door-mounted unit, you'll need to order a new one. If there is no cable, google how to add and test cables before buying a new one.
