I was new to moka pots but after using these I was sold out. Easy to use and makes a drink that's not too far off what fancy espresso machines can do. Making coffee is pretty easy. Unscrew the lower part and remove the coffee grounds container. Fill the basket with finely ground, dark roast coffee and do not pack too tightly. Boil some water and pour it on the bottom up to the level of the small valve. Place the coffee basket back on the floor. Unscrew the lid and place the pot on the stove. Try to use a medium heat, not high, and keep the handle as far away from the heat as possible. Boiling water gushes through the thickness, partially filling the pan. Ready. The jug itself is stainless steel, not aluminum like most moka pots that have been around for years, which I really like. Seems durable. The handle looks like wood, but it's not; It's covered in a rubbery material that I'm assuming will melt or burn if it gets too hot, but so are most non-metal pens and you don't want to reach for a hot metal one. It is very easy to wash. I really can't fault this pot. This is a great addition to my morning coffee ritual.
