I liked this option for a very small upstairs bedroom that is very warm in summer. I had a regular $10 fan, but I don't want to spend the summer in a hot bedroom again. The first thing I noticed after turning it on was the noise. My god, that thing is loud. Especially if you put it in sleep mode. At first (only with ice) the air seemed cool and I was content. After about 10 minutes the air almost stopped. The room was full of humidity, so it was actually warmer than before it was turned on. I tried adding more ice packs but that didn't help. In addition, a pump that was attached with a cable tie during transport is very difficult to remove for cleaning. I would never pay that price for a fan, so he's coming back. So disappointed.
