Review on πŸ”§ 6-Piece Harmonic Damper Pulley Puller Set for Easy Harmonic Balancer Removal on Chrysler, GM, and Mitsubishi Vehicles by Nick Palacio

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for aftermarket parts

This worked great to remove the harmonic damper from my GM 6.0. Of course, I've only used it once, so I can't comment on how durable it is for long-term continuous use. Before first use, I coated the threaded parts of the jackbolt and puller body with molybdenum disulfide and let it dry for a day. to give him a chance to fight. First, I used the second longest pusher on the kit to route the hollow end of the pressure pin behind the puller body so that the hard part of the pressure pin was inside the puller body even when twisted just a little to loosen the damper. I didn't want to go straight to the longest rod (which is correct for this application) and risk the hollow end jacking bolt internally crumbling as the hollow end abuts the puller body and tries to free itself. Balancers and less risk of bending the shorter push rod. Place a 24mm wrench on the puller body and place the other end of the wrench on top of the steering box and use the 19mm socket/ratchet to turn the jack bolt. Loosen balancer, insert longest push rod, mount wedges in the same way and immediately remove balancer.
