Review on BYEASY Adapter Universal External HD02 by Raffy Baer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well built, solid and reliable

Over the years I have used many different adapters to connect my old IDE and SATA hard drives to my PCs. Most of them were cheaply made and most of the time I wondered if they would reliably transfer my files. This time I decided to spend a few bucks more for a better device and I'm glad I did. I successfully transferred over 2.5TB of data from my old hard drive to my new computer using this adapter. To check data transfer integrity, I used TeraCopy (freeware) to transfer and check all files. TeraCopy has not reported any errors. Pros: Lightweight, built-in on/off switch. Ease of use and connection. Hard drives fit exactly into the corresponding connector. All cables needed to connect old drives are included. However, if I don't have them, it would be nice to have a lower price. What convinced me to buy this disc? 1. Supports up to 12TB drives.2. Ability to access 3 separate drives simultaneously.3. Ability to transfer files between the same disks.4. Protections: Over-current, over-voltage and short-circuit protection. If you just want to transfer files and plug in an old hard drive every now and then, this device will get the job done reliably. Before purchasing this adapter, I considered buying one of those multi-port hard drive docking bays, but now I'm glad I didn't.
