I bought this kit twice. The first set was great. The second set came with spark plugs that were about 1/2" too long and too "hot" (NGK BPR4EY instead of 167-1683 as advertised). As a result, the pistons hit the ends of the plugs, damaging the pistons and the Generator permanent.As this was the second set I did not fully examine the new spark plugs and compared to the old ones and assumed they were the same.I now have a $5,000 alternator that needs either replacing or an overhaul. This is totally unacceptable and I strongly recommend that no one uses this kit to service their generator.
