This set offers many possibilities. I'll turn to the next one. 1) Search for fiber optic cable. There is a good powerful laser and a frame for connecting a fiber optic patch cord. Once you have it; You take the other end of the connection cable and connect it to the partition on the wall. I've used it to test 62.5nm multimode fiber, so that's all I can say. This was invaluable for fiber identification in a large fiber bundle. (see photo) 2) By attaching one of the four included key fobs to one end of a CAT5/6 barrel and setting the unit to the length function (ft/m) you can get an accurate reading of the length of the barrel. (see photo) 3) Change the settings and you will know if your pins are wired correctly. (see photo) 4) Search for Cat5/6 cable. I made a film showing how I do it. Warning. This is not the best technique for filming or locating cables. However, there is enough good information that after 60-90 seconds of browsing, you can find the cables that come with your device. This kit is well thought out and can be used to manage a fairly large cable system.
