I am recovering from a painful torn rotator cuff. At the suggestion of my doctor they recommended a tens unit to help with the pain. My doc showed me where to place to pads, and it's similar to the diagrams provided in the manual. This unit is smaller than my phone, and powerful. The most I use is about 1/4 of its power. It has helped with the pain, and I chose to not constantly take ibuprofen. In addition to PT my shoulder is healing well and pain is manageable. If you know how to use tens I recommend this.
